I think in this song, whoever wrote it was very confused. Youc an see how he is going between two things... love and hate. He knows that going for this person (a girl) is wrong and he hates everyhting about her but he loves her. Hasn't anyone had a relationship like that. For me it was my ex-boyfriend smoked pot, wanted only a physical relationship, yet I stayed with it even though I hated everything he was about, but I loved or thought I loved him. Opaque is not being able to see the other side.. not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel which is going to tell you the future, what you should exspect... but you can't see that because your blinded. " to lie in perfect honesty".. maybe saying " Yeah I hate him.." well your lieing in reality because you think you love him but really inside... you should and do hate him. Ok this song is totally about Marijuana. The sunshine in a bag gives that away and the " Im useless but not for long" tells you that it is some sort of drug. He isn't happy because he hasn't smoked it yet but he is glad that he has it because then he knows he can get away. Yes he does talk about the world and how it is superficial I think or the world is hard to live in but he is saying" Look I'll make it all manageable" he is talking about the weed. If you smoke weed you can manage everything because your relaxed and then the world doesn't seem like such a horrible place. the part that says" Picture you gettin down in a picture tube.."
