| He Is Legend – The Seduction Lyrics

If you think about what the rest of the "I Am Hollywood" album is about, this song could have something to do with a crazy fan stalking a star. "Juliet you know you want it" could refer to the stalker trying to convince himself that the star wants him.
I agree with the person who said that the line "I've been recieving strange phone calls from the city," ...that could definitely have to do with a restraining order. Also, the whole "Mr Jones weill be right with you..." line could have something to do with the restraining order thing, or getting arrested, or getting in trouble for stalking the star?
I feel that the "I think we would look better dead" part is part of the stalker's delusions... he or she can't have the star, so therefor no one else can have the star, a murder and a suicide, so they can be together forever.

So.. what does this song mean to me? Well, when I first heard this song, it was about relationships. Although many people find it cheesey, you have to remember that Isaac was what? 13 or 14 when this song was written? Which would make Taylor maybe 10 or 11, and Zac 8 or 7 when this song was first written. For kids of that age, I think this song is pretty deep. It's about how relationships are fragile things... you have to take care of them, just like you have to take precious care of a flower. If you don't, it will whither away to nothing. This song is about realizing which friendships to cherish, and which ones won't be there for long.
What does this song mean for me now? This song means innocence. It means naievety and being 11 and not having a care in the world. It means early summer mornings and rollerblading around the block. It means being 11 and finding that one band whose music you will cherish for the rest of your life.
So many of you come on here and diss Hanson, but you know what? We don't care. To you, this song may mean nothing, but to us, this song is the opening track on the soundtrack of our lives. This song is our anthem. When we're older and we look back on our childhood, for many of us 1997 will be the year we never forget. 1997 is the year that brought us to life. MMMBop will be the song that started it all. So go on, continue to mock us, continue to mock our favorite band. In the words of Hanson, "We won't go down." |

| Hanson – When You're Gone Lyrics

This song is obviously about hardships, and wanting to overcome them. I feel that this song is a very religiously-oriented song, not only with the "and my forehead is still bleeding... " part, but with the chorus. Throughout hardships in life, many people tend to turn to God (or whichever diety they worship) and ask he/she/it where they have gone. To me this song is about finding your faith in the hard times ("well i finally found what i'm looking for / though the road's still long and the light's still far") but knowing that you still have a long way to go until things are better, and maybe you do need that faith in your life to get through. |

To me, this song is about fighting for what you believe in. I also feel that in a way it can be about what we believe in the US... "cannons are blazing shower these moonlit skies, then I remember, and I know why he died."
To me, that line talks about how our forefathers died for us, and we must remember WHY they died. Although I take it in a patriotic way, I feel that it can be taken also in a religious way, or in any case of martyrdom. Like I said before, this song is basically about fighting for what you believe in, and going on even though those before you may have failed or been repressed or whatever. |

| Hanson – Stories Lyrics

This song is obviously about two kids who were told all their lives that they would wind up together, and they did. They probably grew up right next door or on the same block, and he would tease her, and she would climb trees with him, and they both thought the other one had cooties, but then puberty hit and they realized that there was much more to climbing trees and playing tag and they realized that there was much more to each other.
The stories at the beginning were probably more like prophicies, so to say, than stories. Their parents probably told each of them that they would wind up together.
The stories closer to the end of the song are about the stories that will be told to their children about how they were childhood sweethearts, and how everyone knew they would wind up together.
This is definitely one of my favorite Hanson songs. It's so simple, but there's so much meaning behind it. |

This song is about a guy who (obviously) sometimes forgets just how much his girlfriend means to him. Maybe he wants her to dress differently sometimes, or he wants to be more like a tv couple, maybe he's too stubbourn to realize that he's wrong more than right, but then he realizes how stupid he's being, and how all those things don't matter compared to how much he loves her. |

I feel that this song is about an on-and-off again relationship. She broke up with him, yet again, and he's telling her that they should get back together because, as always, they can work through these problems. |

As with many Hanson songs, I think this song can be interpreted in a spectrum of ways. Although not concurrent throughout the song, (mainly in the third verse) I feel that the first two verses can be looked at as talking to a prostitute. It was talked about on h.net, and if you think about it (in your sick, twisted, hanson fan way) it seems to fit. "She'll work it out until she makes the tips," "She doesn't mind when you offend her."
I also think this song can be taken as a guy who wants the bad girl. She's a rebel, doesn't really do the relationship thing, and he's trying to persuade her to "take a walk on the wild side," and get into a relationship. |

I think there are a lot of ways to interpret this song. I like Shani's idea of the fact that it's about Zac's struggles as the youngest member of the band. But in a way I think it's not about that, because it's a totally sad failure. I think this song is about complete failure... maybe it's what they were thinking as Island rejected song after song? "Break my dreams, that's what they'll do..." I think that definitely fits. Obviously, Hanson felt that all the songs they recorded were good enough for an album, but time and time again Island crushed their dreams. |

Since the previous comment isn't about the meaning of the song, maybe I'll try to enlighten everyone with what I think this song means.
Basically I feel it's about getting sidetracked in life.
"The plans that I had were quickly destroyed / the problem was one I couldn't avoid / They welcomed me to stay overnight / I'm too tired to complain so I just might."
I feel this is saying that things didn't go the way he wanted and there was nothing he could do about it. He basically got caught up in it because he didn't feel like doing anything about it. The chorus is about how he's wondering if he'll ever get his life back on track and be where he wanted to be. |

This is my personal favorite IH song. It's about a bitter breakup, and the guy is basically saying get out of my life, I don't want anything to do with you. I love the way this song is written, because it hurts. "It doesn't matter who is wrong here / I just want to see you cry."
For me, that basically sums up the meaning of this song: she hurt him, and now he wants to see her hurting, too. |

When you first listen to this song, you probably think that the guy and the girl are togehter, but when you get to the end, you realize that they're not, because he talks about someone else in her life, and also states that "she's not mine." So the way I see it, this song is about how this guy is so in love with this girl even though all her imperfections, and still doesn't care about the fact that she's with someone else. |

A-fucking-men to donutman.
a). This is called SONGMEANINGS.NET... not howmuchyoulovethissong.net
b). no one wants to hear your teeny fucking rants about how great they are and OMG i saw them 22987398475 times they they're soooo kewl!!!!
c). I agree with donut man as to what this song is about, but I take it in a slightly different view. I see it as: everyone who is in a band wants to have "fame" so to say, but "fame" nowadays is being an MTV bitch and bowing down to the masses and not doing what you want. So basically he's saying he wants fame, but not that shitty fame where you have to do everything "they" tell you, but basically, you won't get fame unless you DO do that, so it's all just a big contradiction. In the end he's saying instead of selling out, why not just kill someone, cause he'll get his fame then.
I personally find that this song is a metaphor for the sad state of the music industry today. |

| Hanson – Believe Lyrics

This song is about someone who just can't take it anymore, but they don't want to give up. They're thinking of alternative ways out (murder wears a friendly smile, like a perfect end in a plastic vile...) but there's still something worth holding onto for them, and they want to be able to believe in that, they're not ready to give up.
Another interpretation of this song is that it can be about abortion, once again going to the murder wears a friendly smile part, that would be the easiest way out of a pregnancy that you don't want anyone to know about. |
