one more point to back up my theory- purity is a later version of despise, which i believe was written before everything with purity knight; those lyrics have their own meaning, which later also became purity's story. |

aside from the story about purity, ive always interpreted this as a song about being trapped; confined by her life, the people and things around her, and even by who she is. shes waiting for someone who can understand her, but no one really gives a shit, so shes just waiting to die. thats just my idea- again, could be a double meaning. |

i think that the first stanza is saying that the world itself is a danger... you cant blame it on one person or group. mm also says that hes going to be himself, because he doesnt owe anyone anything. also, id like to point out that "the death of one" and so on is a slightly reworded quote from stalin. |

i also noticed similarities with the story "the lottery," in which one person was stoned each year, simply for the sake of tradition. i thought there was a lot of irony in mansons video, especially with the inclusion of children. in the beginning, a child "marked him to die", and a woman was pregnant with (presumably) mansons child. this relates back to the song, especially with the lines "youve poisoned all your children to camouflage your scars" and "all your infants in abortion cribs". |

just to clear it up, manson IS a satanist. however, he's also a christian; he just has his own interpretations to each religion. also, no one that has commented on satanism actually understands it, so do some research before you talk about "satan worship". |
