Collapsis – Two Egrets Lyrics 21 years ago
How has nobody commented on this song, or for that matter, any Collapsis songs? They are amazing. I discovered them back in the Napster days, cuz they were one of the few bands you could always find. Anyway so many classic lines in this one- a sentimental song keeps me hanging on, i'd hate to let this rainbow die- all good stuff. It's a shame that Collapsis hasn't hit the big time...maybe someday.

Bob Marley and the Wailers – Redemption Song Lyrics 22 years ago
I'm sure this song was written with some intentions in mind- to say farewell, to spark conversations like these, etc. However, this song has a very practical application. Anytime I am nervous (before I go on stage, etc.), I can jam this song and my nerves are calmed better than any substance can.

The Juliana Theory – Show Me The Money Lyrics 22 years ago
You guys are both right. First of all, it's an amazing feat that a band can take a handful of words, build a song around it, and never get musically repetitive or boring. Second, these guys are down to earth. From their humble beginnings in Greensburg, PA (my hometown, by the way), they really have a sense of what it's all about- not money, not fame, but about their art. TJT is one of the few truly pure bands out there, and I guess that is why they are so amazing.

The Juliana Theory – Pictures, Stars, and Dreams Lyrics 22 years ago
Hey just a dreamer, TJT is huge here in their hometown of Greensburg, PA, and I think that that's all that matters to them.

The Juliana Theory – Understand The Dream Is Over Lyrics 22 years ago
Is this song's title and lyrics a play off of the title of the band's earlier album, "Understand This is a Dream"?

Feeder – Sweet 16 Lyrics 22 years ago
Does this song cover the exact same subject matter as Nickelback's "Never Again"?

O.A.R. – Crazy Game Of Poker Lyrics 22 years ago
Finally someone got it right! Zelmo, you nailed this one on the head. There's more to this song than an upbeat drinking song. Especially on the "Any Time Now" version, the song has no particular structure. It comes, it goes, it wanders- just like OAR's character, the Wanderer. The Wanderer is anyman, his comings and goings are analagous to the trials and tribulations of life. By the way, one good thing about OAR's music- when it hits you, you feel now pain!

Phantom Planet – California Lyrics 22 years ago
I saw PP open for Incubus too, and this song had a totally different tone live compared to the studio version. The album track has a mellow, quasi-depressed vibe that is rarely assosciated with glitzy SoCal. However, the live version had more of a triumphant, positive, uplifting feeling. However, the lyrics were identical to the studio song. This goes to show you that the song can go either way. A versatile song like this is unusual, but one with the catchiness to make it a radio staple is extremely rare. Phantom Planet, and this song in particular, are going places.

Element 101 – Standing On The Edge Of Night Lyrics 22 years ago
I'm not sure, but I think you guys are thinking too hard about this song. I think it's about a relationship, but with vague Christian references, suggesting how her beliefs affect the relationship. What it boils down to is a catchy, high-energy song with a killer bass line and textbook emo-rock drumming. Stop digging so much and take it for what it is.

Something Corporate – Straw Dog Lyrics 22 years ago
Is it just me or does this song sound like a cross between uber-talented Eve Six singer/songwriter/bassist Max Collins and piano wunderkind Vanessa Carlton?
