i like the socially conscience theme of this song... i also enjoyed the line about sir thomas more.. which i'm guessing is a reference to utopia.. not an incredible amount of bands go beyond their own lives in their songs, and i definitely appreciate the shins bringing us something that makes us think |

i just saw mae, too... at the norva (and by just saw i mean in january).... they were opening for some girl band.... that i didn't stay to see... AND they put mae with some hip hop band... weird |

i love folk implosion and just bought one part lullaby.. in the cd jacket it's written all of the instruments that the guys played... some include "glasses of water" and "cookie sheets".... now, if a band can sound this awesome with these types of "instruments," they deserve all of the respect in the world |

i just saw these guys in philly... their show was amazing... so different from anything i'd ever seen... kinda weird, but respectable b/c no one else does these things.... i love this song and they totally blew me away with it |
