I think this song is about suicide. At the beginning and through the middle of the song he's singing about the aftermath.. everything that is going on after their death. At the end he finally explains that he's dead... obviously a bloody death (although he never does explain EXACTLY how he died).. the the girlfriend/boyfriend finds his body, crawls near him, into his blood; pops pills and "falls asleep" with him. She meets him after death as he explains when he says "the outline of the on you loved in a life that was, that no longer will be; stands above you, as you sleep" |
