Wow seems like no one has any idea what this song is speaking to. To me it seems like it is referring to the idea of hopes, dreams, and fate in astrology. I mean Astrology is the study of celestial beings (stars etc) ie Well Thought Out Twinkles. The lyrics really support this too talking about signs, apocalyptic views, and all that other junk. |

I can't believe no one commented on this song. This is my favorite Local H song. I am from around the area they started out in and have been a fan for a long time. I miss the old scott and joe days. It is sorta funny that there were two guys one left (joe) and scott just grabbed another and it was still local h. This song though really speaks to the suburban youth. I feel exactly as this song says 'I know I'm nothing different, but I just don't feel the same' |

This song has actually been done many times by many different people. I know it from a movie called The Wicker Man. The opening to the song with the sergeant part is from the movie. In the movie the chick singing it is trying to tempt a policeman to have sex with her. She is a pagan and they all do it like rabbits. |

I figured this song out. She is a hooker. its an incredibly sexy song about a hooker. The first verse she is wandering around the city drunk. The second verse she meets someone and is talking to them in the streets and basically is saying just cause I'm talking to you doesn't mean I like you or even care. The third verse she is having sex with that person and saying she isn't cheap, but feels she gets too little in return for sex. The song basically follows a hooker out to the city where she picks up a john has sex and is left wanting more. |

Wow I can't believe there are so few comments in here. Sneaker Pimps are one of my favorite bands and Destroying Angel is probably my favorite song from them. It is so dark and I am pretty sure that this song is about heroin. It being the 'words beneath my skin...the ink that you put in' and it destroys everything and when the trip is over you are earthbound coming down. |

I really don't like third eye blind at all, but someone clued me into this song and I gave it a try. I was blown away. This is so much better than the pop rock crap that you hear from them most of the time. This song has probably the best lyrics I have ever hear. Especially this verse

That is just awesome songwriting. Probably the best lyric I have ever heard. Very deep. When I listen to it I can see myself looking through memory and going through the window and into the person and feeling the confusion and helplessness.
When I listen to these songs and see people's replies about how this always happens to them too, I am filled with a great sadness that we are so apt to hurt each other. I don't understand why we all can't just meet and love each other like we want. It seems as if the person who does love is always the one who gets hurt and so we continue the cycle of pain. |

Hey did anyone else notice that he references a girl with a cello again? He references the same girl in El Scorcho. I think there really was some half japanese girl that he had a thing for that played a cello and that his subsequent dealings with her inspired a lot of his songwriting for Pinkerton. This was the first song I heard from Saves the Day and I got it from a girl. It has really grown on me. One of those songs that really sums up just about everyone's feelings. I just recently got screwed with by a girl and this song is a real comfort because all I can do is see her and feel her and smell her, and then I wake up and realize that she isn't there and never will be. The only succor for me is that others feel the same way and that I am not alone in these feelings, and that is why this song is dear to me and I am sure is dear to you. |
