This song written to parody there live shows in late 70's. When it was all leather, grand live shows, Freddie been attracted by New York and it's decadence, mentioning Queen's tourmanager Gerry Stickells and both recordlabels oversees shows Freddie's sheer humour and camp. So it's obvious that's it's about Queen's grandiose Crazy/Live Killers tour and written to entertain on stage. |

A very obvious Brian composition, as he can be very personal with his own songs. And this song is no exception to that. A song inspired by his own relationship with his father. It was a very bumpy ride for him i think, because there is so much anger in this song, but in the end there's bliss and serenity. The legacy left behind by a father to his son. |

Very great Freddie composition. I really can picture Freddie behind a piano in an abanodoned bar, with all the seats on the tables and only a spot aimed on Freddie singin this song. The meaning of the song is very obvious and would fit my videoclip idea. A sad song song about someone who has been dumped by his partner and finally finds something to be positive about. i think :) |
