Listen, I live in Burlington, VT for 9 months out of the year (I attend UVM). Voicing your opinion is one thing and an absolute must. But denying others their voice is what causes problems in society -- one being pop music. Peace, love, happiness and most of all CHEERS. |

I would definitely agree with most of you. The song can be taken at face vallue -- he fell for a girl who couldn't be bothered. And he puts it so simply and so well as few artists can. It also deserves merit for its unconventionalness in that it doesn't conform to your standard, formulaic love song. I think most (if not all) guys knows what that's like. Also, I find it funny that Matt Skiba picked a part of the body on the back so as not to see her face. Alkaline Trio rocks and I was lucky enough to talk with the bassist for a few minutes after a free show at Montclair State U in New Jersey. Cheers. |

I totally agree with emokid5, the new album is shit compared to the older stuff. Private Eye doesn't come close to My Little Needle or Fuck You Aurora or Cringe. My favorite line in the song is "Headwind, cold rain to wake me". They're fucking great and are so talented it's amazing. The lyrics are all so much more and they rock so hard live. |

Well, I used to think that 'needle' meant something else, but after reading Katers' message, I totally agree. This song is about finding the right one for you -- the needle in the haystack -- but for a multitude of reasons, not being able to find her. |
