alright since you little teenieboppers wont comment on the damn song, i guess i will. well this song could b interpreted many different ways. but this is how i see it...the singer is obviously at the end of a summer relationship that he had with a girl. they prolly had alot of good times and really like eachother, but because hes so young(17 to be exact), he has to go back to school in the fall, thus ending their relationship. Judging by the lyrics, it seems like he wants to get back together with the girl on their next break ("cross your fingers, and pray for winter"). and when he sayd "ill pick up everything you left behind". hes saying that he has faith in the relationship and he will do anything to try to prolong it. GIRLS ARE MEAN!!! |

alright, this song is like an anthem for guys like me! the lyrics are really simple and straightforward. mike obviously expresses that he is upset with girls in general, but doesnt really act upon in a mean way. the guy got his heart-broken, and hes depressed and somewhat bitter about it. thats prolly why he now thinks love is a waste of time. and Mike is a genious for stating the obvious in the song..."girls and no good"..couldnt agree more. GIRLS ARE MEAN!!!! |

another sad break-up song...i love it. obviously the singer is very upset over his recent heartbreak. He is desperately trying to get over her, by doing the usual post-breakup things.(i.e. going out with friends, hanging out, and meeting new girls). this new girl he has met though is kinda head over heels for him, but he is trying to tell her that he is still in love with his ex.The supposed 4 leaf clover is probably his interpretation of a "perfect" relationship. he thought he was in a perfect relationship with his ex-girlfriend but eventually found out that they werent reight for eachother(hence 3-leaf clover). basically the message is to not go for a girl just as a rebound chick. its not fair for anyone. thats what hes saying with "an absent-minded find". well thats what i got outta the song. GIRLS ARE MEAN!!!! |
