I feel like it's not about a camping trip. Right now I listen to it because I think of the importance of spontaneity in a relationship, to be able to "waste the summer" packing up on a whim to somewhere where you can simply "feel the grass beneath your feet". I think it's cute. The sleeping bag and tent seem like symbols when they sing it, not physical objects. |

"full of woe and further to go"....does anyone have thoughts on this? it seems to quote the children's rhyme about birth days, I believe that "Wednesday's child is full of woe" and "Thursday's child has far/further to go".....thoughts? anyways I like it. |

Basically it represents everything of this guy I know; he actually recommended it to me on account of it being how he felt. It's that he really likes me, and we can't exactly be together, but he really can't help himself. He doesn't like it when I try and make it equal, like paying for things (like the second verse) or just acting like I like him. |

I absolutely LOVE this song!! If you listen to it, the harmonies are so beautiful and they're at these perfect places....it almost made me cry the first time I listened to it. it was the first one recommended to me but i didnt really listen to it until i had to go away for a while w/out phone or anything, and i really missed people...it was perfect....*sigh* |

i have the same thing as most of you...away from my bf for a while, and i just listened to this song and quoted it in my journal most of the time i was away. i like the last comment though, about it being cold in march for her...wow. it was march then for me but it was actually warmer than home probably...oh well :-P |
