Mark only plays bass in blink. and he only sings the 1 verse and chorus( i guess you could call it that) in Box Car. and personally i think Mark's a cool gut. but he's not a very good bassist. you can jump up and down and run around and still play perfectly. he doesnt write very good bass. and he admits it. the best thing he's ever written is the intro to Carousel (he said so himself). so dont go saying things that arent true. im done with you for now |

thsi song refers to 9/11 but it is not about 9/11/ and the song Elevator is about 9/11. its about the peole that jumped from the roof and windows instead of waiting in the building and maybe dieing a slower more painful death. Tom's verse is the person jumping. Mark's verse is view of one of the many people that gathered on the ground. thats why Elevator was originally called 9/11. not this song because it only refers to it. |

angel2kiss. i know she co-writes her songs. but that means nothing about actually writing a song. all you have to do to co-write is give an idea or 1 line. like in Green Day Mike (the bassist) co-wrote the song Pullin Teeth. but Billie Joe (the guitarist/singer/songwriter) actually wrote the song. so to co write a song is no talent what so ever. i know how hard it is sometimes to write a song. im not saying i write awsome lyrics all the time. in fact im not that good. because at times its hard. (if you want to see my lyrics search for "Face Down") and i think its BS that she gets money for singing someone else's song. (and yes i hate every other single band/artist that does not write their own songs) well i hope you realized my point. which is that cowriting a song doesnt mean anything. |

ok im not sure if anybody else has said any of these things because i dont want to read 100 responses about this shitty song.
Reasons why to hate Avril.
-she says she plays guitar, yet on the album she only plays like 3 chords in 1 song. and live? ha she doesnt even have the guitar on her cep for that one song she plays those 3 chords or so.
-songwriter? once again HA! if you read the liner notes it says other people wrote them. yet she says she wrote them all.
-and the whole skater thing? well she says shes a skater but she cant skate good at all. she said so herself. here is a quote (actually i forget the exact wording but this is what it said) "yea the director wanted me to skate in my video and i was like no way dude i suck"
-and the whole punk thing? just to keep it short. shopping at Hot Topic does NOT make you punk. punk is about not giving a fuck about what you do or how you dress. not trying to fit in by buying so called punk clothes.
-those are some facts to make you think about before you say shes a punk/skater girl that writes her own songs.
-here are some opinion reasons you might agree with me on.
-she does pretty much NOTHING with her music. the real musicians are the band members. the 2 guitarists the drummer and the bassist are the onyl real musician. yet people call Avril a musician. some people are too gulible.
-the only reason she got a record deal is because whatevter label shes on said "hey punk seems to be gainig popularity lets sign someone that sings pop and get her to dress and act punk, that way people will like her just because shes punk and well all get rich" thats total BULLSHIT! she got signed because shes a poser. shes so manufactured her next album will be out next year. any REAL musician would take a little while not the next 9 months. ok well im done bitching to you peole. i hope those facts make you think twice before you love her for "HER" lyrics and becase shes a "skater".

this song means alot to me. i can totally realate to it. casue my dad died in 99. and this is how i felt. all the people around me telling me its ok and it happens for a reason. but i was kinda happy he was in a better place. he was pretty stressed before he died. whenever i hear this song i almost cry. the 1st time i heard it i did.
rockkroc i dotn see how you can like Self-Titled the best or atleast better then Nothing Gold Can Stay. of all of NFG's CDs i dislike ST the most. Hit Or MIss is a waste of space on that cd the original is better. DRessed To Kill, Sincerely Me, and Better Off Dead are awsome. Second To Last is Ok. Eyesore is also a watse of space on this CD. the original acoustic version is 100 times better. Vegas is ok. it has a good meaning to it. Sucker is awsome. Black and Blue sucks. Boy Crazy is one of their best songs. All ABout Her is niot really that good. and Balld For the Lost Romantics is ok but people always misinterprut the real meaning of the song. all of NGCS songs are awsome. and Sticks and Stones is probably their best CD. here are my fav NFG albums in order.
