Okay s this might sound random but i think this song is about heroin abuse. Now hear me out..."I lost this game Of white Russian roulette " is talking about how you can easily OD and its like a game of roulette staying alive. "Birthmarked my arms in vain" is from injecting yourself with the needle. "Shooting bullets through my blood, the bullets barely missed my brain " that's about shooting the drug through your veins and its like a bullet because its deadly. "And fly for five days around my bedroom in a haze" is the high you get. "And then I'll crash straight in the ground" is the withdrawel after. "I wish I was never ever here... " is regreting what you did. "Raccoon eyed and skin whiter than heavens best fighter " is you know how junkies look all dead and white with big black bags under their eyes. "We'll tie up our arms with my cancer and your charm " is how before you infect the hroin into your vein, you have to tie your arm to get the veins preped. "Fist fight the light that bounces off my walls " is how when your high you do crazy things, you can be violent which is the punching of the wall becaus eyou think something is there. "Last night I stayed on call all night And I watched her die three times tonight" is staying up worring that your love will kill themselves over their addiction. i love this song its amazing. when i sa whim live he subsituted "kissed" for "touched" as i "we were just kids when i first touched you in the attic of my parents house" the song is amazing live. I always picture conor sitting on his tour bus tracing the mountains with a pen writting to his girlfriend for the "go exploe those other women the geographies of their bodies" i think it would be an amazing video |

wehopethatouchoke: thats what i figured about the alcoholism. In a way, if you take the song literally, having padric being a kid that gets killed, I think through the writtings it sounds more like conor had killed "padric" because he was jelouse. the line "where the selfishly sick and self absorbed are welcome" makes me think taht he is saying he's selfish because he killed him because he was jelouse that he wasn't the only one anymore. Then later in the song he says "i am sorry" I don't know though |
