There definately is a reference to Jesus, with the quoting his last words and all, but "Grab a brush a put a little make up Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup Why did you leave your keys upon the table Here we go, create another fable" could be in reference to the fact that there is this picture perfect view of him, but he was a person, and people aren't perfect, so his story was maybe fictionalized to cover up the bad stuff, and the result is nothing more than a fable. |

| this could just be my own train of thought but i thought that it could be about how most people try so hard to be something that they're not, that they even end up lying to themselves, and forgetting who they really are. Johnny is the one who deep down inside is just awful and nasty, but on the outside pretends to be a "sweet little boy," and rodger is insecure and so feels that he has to overcompensate for that, still believing himself to be a perfect, "sweet little boy". | |
