this song is not meant to be about loneliness on friggin new years!!!
it's about change, or the lack thereof. the disappointment of setting ourselves up for expecting something amazing to happen.
reality is, we are all going to continue living our lives and experiencing the struggles we wish to no longer endure if we don't stop living in a simple wishful longing for better.
everyone has struggles. simply on different levels. we need to stop being unsatisfied and enjoy where we are now. the changing of some silly digits does not constitute for a chance of renewal. we can start that anyday if we want.
anyway that's my interpretation.
i thought that's what this site was, sharing our thoughts on song meanings. but since some people are deciding to be amateur critics, why not.
personally i think the song is beautiful. don't de-value its beauty by cutting it down to being repetitive, every song does it, ever heard of a chorus? and in this song esp. some words are just worth repeating.
"no distance.." can hold anyone back whether it be for love or success, as long as all your being is put forth. yes this is just another year, but it's the passion that matters.
also, i think in a way they're pointing out how pretentious and silly the whole new year concept is. we party it up get drunk out of our gourds and make promises we never keep. |

wow i cant believe no one has checked this song out! how under rated it must be. i totally recommend it cuz its the ultimate pick me upper. if u crank the volume up on this one n sing it as loud as u can u cant help but dance n smile n ya ur voice will get hella hoarse but its so worth it cuz of the mood it puts me in! i luv it n i think its the best aqua song by far. |

i really like this song, its upbeat while the lyrics r moving. great mix. n the girl has a really pretty voice. i think the words really describe bein in love n all the confusion that comes along. |
