Scott decided to put the Cherokee indian prayer in there because he is part Cherokee and the prayer is for everybody in general. I dont think the song is about Americas past, I believe its what in our lives. To quote Theres still time All thats been devestated can be recreated Realize We pick up the broken pieces Of our lives. Right there is the meaning of this song, what ever happens to us to break us, threw all the deceptivness of the world, it is up to us to pick ourselves up, cause theres no one for us to rest our head on. | Scott is divorced, but he is definetly not raising Jagger by himself. Jagger help Scott but aside the differences between him and his father,so his father and friends, and other members of Creed help out with Jagger. Scott is a loving, determined father, even if he had to he could raise Jagger alone. This song was made for Jagger, and I really dont know how you can sing it to your gf unless she's pregnant, cause thats the only way I can see this song being a romantic song. | This song is all about the crucifixion of Christ. Scott was doing an interview with a Christian tv show and he stated that once he read the lyrics that he wrote he realized that he was talking about the death of Jesus. Also on Behind the music, he said that one night he woke up and started writing, and when he woke up he saw the lyrics, but didnt remember writing them. Its all pretty cool.
