youre all slow like down syndrome. this song as jesse says in an interview you can easily find on youtube: a little girl and her mother were leaving a wedding in his home town of Long Island, NY in limousines and some spoiled rich white kid was fighting with his girlfriend and decided to get drunk and speed onto an exit going the wrong way and he wiped out the first limo carrying the 6 year old little girl. her mother was in the limo behind it, got out and found her daughters head lying on the road while her body was still in the car. she sat and held her daughters decapitated head. This incident occurred about a mile from his home in Long Island, NY. Jesse Lacey also went on to say about this that he didnt believe in capitol punishment but felt that if this young man were to die he wouldnt hesitate to feel justice had been served. so fudge your love songs brand new aint about it. |

I must say... this song touches me... my mother committed suicide when I was 9 years old, and thought of things like this... I think he is writing this in a child-like way purposely. This is obviously about his mother who has passed on, and he is trying to think happily even though her suicide was wrong, and she was taking the easy way out... hence: "sleep with the angels mama never look back. sleep with the angels while the sky turn to black. you can sleep under ladders on the tracks of a train. but skeeping in the clouds won't keep you out of the rain" |

| this is the most beautiful song in the world. the sound is sooo sad, but it means a lot to me... It reminds me of my deceased mother... the guilt and sorrow i felt after she committed suicide. It touches me more deeply than a lot of other people because of that, but it really is an incredible song... The first verse is terribly incorrect... the first verse goes: I fell and watched you get away from me, and i know all the reasons i was left behind... the mistake could really take away from the meaning of the song, so i thought i would clarify that... | |
