wow xselfxhatex... you love her sense of style? that's sad considering she didn't even create that style. the record company and music industries created it for her so she'd have such an oh so "punk-rock" image. plus, she looks dirty and is if she smells. secondly, her "stylish" wristbands look lame and fake on her and she wasn't the first to wear them either.... and thirdly, the neck-tie.. that's been around for quite some time now. a friend of mine used to wear them as a joke back in 1996. that was like six years ago. so yah.. avril didn't think of that stuff on her own. she's not creative. |

i know it's been said before by some of you, but "this is me with the words on the tip of my tongue and my eye through the scope down the barrel of a gun" is also my favorite part of the song. that's how i feel a lot of the time. needing and wanting to say something, but always holding back because of being scared it will only come back and hurt in the end. as if i were looking down the barrel of a gun and thinking what i could say may just end up exploding in my face. |

i don't know about anyone else, but this song is just really amazing. it's about a relationship that has died or is slowly dying.. and you miss what you both had when you were together and happy: "the days i recall being wonderful." ....anyway, i think karl larsson writes the best lyrics and has such an awesome and unique voice. |

aw mannn. no offense or anything MusicLuva, but half the stuff you said made me want to vomit..."aight" ? especially when you said the reason most of us "ppl" despise avril is because we're "jealous" of her. *gag* yah.... I REALLY WANNA BE JUST LIKE HER. ...not. second, she may not lip sync, but i don't consider her to have a "great" voice. i can name a whole slew of female artists who have a helluva better voice than avril lavigne - tori amos, alanis morissette, jolie lindholm, fiona apple, courtney love, madonna, bjork, jewel... i can go on and on. next... her songs, regardless of the fact that she may write them, aren't that amazing. the lyrics are nothing but simplistic and immature crap. you can't tell me that in the back of her mind she didn't know she'd get all the "punk" and "emo" kids to like her better if she used the phrase "preppie clothes" rather than gothic, dorky, punky, or emo clothes. c'mon. it's so pathetically obvious. and yah, she can rhyme too...but WOW, i learned how to do that when i was in the 1st grade. finally.. this is just another lame trend. maybe she'll get "big" over the next few months or so, but i highly doubt she'll be around five years from now. so yah.. that's MY opinion. |

A Prayer For Owen Meany is a kick ass book. i got chills reading it every time i came to a line that was written in "goodbye sky harbor." i highly recommend the book. and by the way, i seriously doubt the length of the song has anything to do with how long it takes to die after slitting your wrists. that's just lame. especially since neither the song nor book has anything to do with suicide. 16:11 is probably from some psalm of John since the character "owen" was said to be the "prince of peace" in the book. |
