i dont think the grass stains on the knees has anything to do w/the guy begging for the girl, the girl said it cuz its in the quotes...i think its more along the lines of the two of them hooking up and he wants a relationship but she doesn't like him like that "but these grass stains on my knees
they won't mean a thing" is what she says so she apparently doesn't care for him at all like that |

wow this band is nothing like what drive thru normally signs...but they're a nice type of different. this song kinda makes it seem like the guy has to let go of a girl and he's really upset about it, but then he realizes she has to go for her own good so he gives her some encouragement at the end "so lift your head and shine" |

well i dont really get the whole story-line lyric thing...but to me it seems like this song is more about life and love and trying to reassure yourself in shitty situations, and how if you tell yourself the same thing over and over you'll eventually believe it like when he says "you'll listen to reason while you're face down in the dirt
you'll stomach the hurt and break for him here just how much he's worth "
also it sounds like it cvould be about love in a small town and you always go through the same cycle with the same person "on the wrong way out
on the causeway to neverwhere " and "pull the trigger and the nightmare stops".. this is defiantely one of my favorite coheed songs i love how claudio always does the o0o0os...thats rare in music like this, but its liek a coheed signature |

this song is so amazing....i love listening to it over and over, and yes its true that davey is singing the back up lyrics at the end part, jim adkins layers his voice with it...to me this song is all about how important music is to you and how it can motivate you to do something, especially stomething like declaring your love for someone like when he says:
"I'm on my feet,
i'm on the floor,
i'm good to go.
and all I need is just to hear a song i know.i wanna always feel like part of this was mine
i wanna fall in love tonight. "
music is the ultimate conscience in life |

haha its really funny to read all this emo/anti-emo stuff...you guys should all get over the label and just listen to the music for what it is...and if you are interested in emo (or even if you dont like it) i'd reccomend reading the book nothing feels good by andy greenwald...its intresting and deals with emo and where it came from and if it really is a genre...it also points out that no band ever claims to be emo...they just get labeled it....on another note...does anybody have any good bio info about co&ca? they're website doesnt really say much...thanks |
