Well, have you ever looked on the line change as if he means tha Ian is right in what he's saying... Like, it's wrong to blame hc-punks for slavery, in this case, Ian was blamed, only because his skin, isn't that bigotry from the blacks as well. Beating up a white kid, because of slavery, that he got nothing to do with, and if i know Ian, he would've fought against slavery if he'd live at the time. So what I try to say is: Maybe Slayert means that Ian's guilty for beeing riight in that is wrong that he got to take shit for slavery. |

From the beginnig, what Ian meant with the song was, to be yourself, and question the things you do. He never meant to start a movement, and Ian himself says he wasn't part of that movement. And I also think Ian's sick and tired, because in every interview, they ask him, what sXe is, and if the rumours that he's not a part of the sXe movement no longer is true. And if stupid sXe's punk keep on asking him that in every interview, I understand if he'd get himself drunk. He also said in an interview, that it's kind of ironic that to be sXe, nowadays, you got a set of rules to follow, when what he meant in the song, be as you please. Do what you like. Make a stand. He didn't mean that you should start a fundalist movement. In my opinion, the one's claiming to be sXe today is as stupid as choosing drugs, since both of the steer your life in a way. I myself, choose not to use hard drugs, i smoke cigarettes, and drink beer. But i question why I drink it. And I choose to do it because i want to. And I doesn't feel it makes me a slave in anyway. That makes me more sXe, then most of people caliming they're sXe. beeing sXe like Ian meant it, got nothing to do with sXe today. |
