okay human i have a couple of things to say to your comments: To the first: Bands are still writing songs based on politics, but don't ask me to name any because to me they are a bunch of whiny assholes... You don't like living here? Move. It's as simple as that. And I know what you're going to so.... You're against corruption, not America itself... Corruption is going to happen anywhere so get over it. If you want a "political" band, go listen to fucking Pennywise. And by the way I remember Minor Threat. To your second: You're probably right that these kids now don't know the true meaning of the lyrics of the bands you listed. But you know what? You're complaining to the wrong genre. This is emocore/hardcore. To your third: If every action of revolution is an act of love then wouldn't the inverse be true? That every action of love is an action of revolution? And what's this song about? Ah that's right. And if you have no problem with "emotional" lyrics, then why are you complaining in the first place? There is no emotion stronger than love so that would make this song about as emotional as they come. If you like more gusto than listen to something else. Ah now that I'm done ranting, I'd like to say that this a terrific song. If you like Poison the Well (which I'm sure you probably do if you're reading the lyrics to the damn song), check out Atreyu. Till the day I die, straightedge. |
