word...the crows rule...seen em somewhere round 10x in concert spanning back to 1995 and i must say that they are by far my favorite band and probably the 2nd or 3rd best show i've ever seen. As for Mr. Duritz, Adam writes some of the Best music out there right now....up there with Ed Kowalczyk of the immortal band LIVE...i really wish they'd re-record August and everything after...i mean if you've seen them in concert its plain to see that they're just a better band now then they were in '93...Sadly, Press says that if this album isn't 'the best ever' that the Crows are going to call it quits...but Look for a Solo album from adam if that happens |

Me am love dashboard. Me am love them long time. Me am wonder does anyone read posts above? I like to post under this song simply because its my favorite. I play guitar as well and i would like to say that if i could ever sing with as much emotion as chris does, then i would be a happy man. Yeah guys care about the little things too you know :) ...Did you all know we have a private messaging thingy here? i think im gonna message someone after this....annnnyway, a song that i like to listen to before, after, or in the middle of the So Impossible EP is "Sandalwood" by Lisa Loeb. Im actually going to see if its up on songmeanings.net yet, and if its not i shall put it up. i can see what u all are saying...the prostitute thing makes sense, as well as the betting on horses part...man the Wurlitzer solo in this song rocks my socks off! Anna Begins is a wonderful song...i love the musical aspect of it as well as the lyrics....and although i have read what its about, i can't help bu see the connection that agesixracer pointed out (Love dashboard too :D)...and the end of the song is absolutely beautiful with the vocals on 'rain falls down....rain falls pouring down' capping it all off....Towards end of the song the musical tone seems optimistic...with the Cadd9's and the nice G based chords...its brighter than the rest of the song, as if after telling the story, he is reveling in the memory of this girl. |

OnlyWishfulTHinking ---> thats a big part of the appeal for all dashboard songs...that you can relate to them....EVERYONE has felt this way...and for me thats what makes a song great...and with dashboard moree than any other band that i know of right now (except maybe Saves The Day - "As Your Ghost Takes Flight")i feel like he's talking about ME...Chris writes about universal experiences...REAL, BELIEVABLE experiences...thats why they're so wonderful to me :) |

Word. Chris's music could quite possibly be some of the emotional music that i have ever heard, and thats what makes it great. When someone puts all they have into something, its bound to touch someone, and that someone is me....and by the looks of it, quite a few more. I Love DC. Although im not too big a fan of "summers kiss"...did anyone else not like it as much as previous EPs?
I think the phrase "the good fight" says that she maybe Did what everyone else thought was right even though maybe it wasn't the best decision? i dunno thats just my take... |

Alrightthere tessaroo, in my estimation, the EP tells a story...see "For you to notice" is about how the guy wants the girl to notice him...then theres "So Impossible" which tells about the girl asking him out...and then "Remember to Breathe" Tells about preparation for the evening...finally "Hands Down" Tells about how it was "the best date I can ever remember"...This EP Tears me apart because i can relate to each and every line of all four songs...the process was the same as what Chris sings about
Hang on a sec...now that i've listened to it and peeked at the lyrics a bit...could this EP be about getting back with someone who you dated before, really really loved, and then it ended? See, the whole "And the memory fades" thing kinda throws me off...so i mean the memory of their breakup could be fading because they're sharing a night...

Theres this band called The Juliana Theory...one of the titles of thier songs is "Chase what Makes your Heart Flutter"...i think thats what chris does...i mean how else could you have such emotionally charged lyrics and vocals? This song in particular reminds me of an ex-girlfriend...we dated for two years (one of which i was away at college) before finally calling it quits...i don't know that i'll ever love anyone the way i love her (yes, i love her still)...every singles line of this song reminds me of so many moments with her that i can't bear to give up...This song will forever mean the world to me presonally because along with the emotions associated with the song itself, i associate the very bleeding of my own heart with it as well. And yes, this song does 'Make My Heart Flutter" :) |

ok well...first off, i'm not into the whole emo thing that much...ya know i listen to a lil bit of everything...what gets me about dashboard and this song (as well as many of the others [for you to notice, Hands down, hell, the whole SO IMPOSSIBLE ep]) is chris's ability to find absolutely the perfect words to tell the story and tear at your heartstrings and the same time...another thing i love about dashboard is the whole Acoustic thing. (yes i know they added new members, and i'm not as big a fan of SUMMERS KISS as i am the previous ones) For me, well played acoustic guitar is the greatest sound in the world, bar none. between Chris's lyrics, his wonderful emotionally charged vocals, and the guitar, dashboard rocks my winamp 24/7. if anyone wants to talk acoustic music with me (dashboard or otherwise...i also LOVE folk...john gorka, dar williams..)just msg me at the same name on AIM |
