To me, personally, the song means something different that what all of you have said. I think it has to do with a relationship that is not working. It's from the point of view of the guy. - The guy is telling how the girl is telling him that things aren't quite working out, how they are drifting apart, etc. - she thinks he's bringing her down, and he doesn't want to miss her, but he knows she can't handle things. she's lost what she's never had with him, because he was never what she needed - she's in denial about what's going on, and he saw this coming, but can't believe it actually happened, and he refuses to make all the same mistakes again and is standing up for himself - she is finally realizing that he isn't what she needs, and he is making a sarcastic remark about everything he never said that he should have - he is getting past it and looking back and realizing that he was selfish - he never really thought that they would break up, even though he knew they would, it's still a shock, but now he realizes that they never were on the same level to begin with and he fell short of her expectations |

Yes, his name is BENJI, not "fag" or any other deragatory term that shouldn't be used on a message board like this(because it's incredibly offensive if you didn't realize that). They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, you know? Honestly, Benji probably idolizies Sid very much, and wants to be like him. I know I mimic the style, actions, etc of people I think are great. I don't think anybody else, including Sid himself, really cares the Benji does this. | |

| I kind of agree with UEDKhadgar on this one. I think the song is about a girl who is very depressed, to the point of suicide("I found the note down in your car, and it's not your fault it gets this hard"). And he's telling her that while he's not "made of steel" and can't solve all of her problems, he will be there to listen to her("But your sectret's safe with me") and he supports her("hold your head high, don't back down, I'm by your side"). I think it's just about a guy reassuring his girl that he's going to be there for her, now matter what she goes through. | |

For all of you who are saying that some of the lines are wrong... Good Charlotte has several songs with different versions, and this is one of them. There is the version on their CD(oh and it's only on the second release one, some of you may not have it if you have an older copy), and there is a version that was released for the Undergrads and as a single. The CD version has the lines about "but that's all right...cause I get down with GC"(and others), and the single doesn't. There you go. |
