Me thinks this is a song about our healthcare system. Hmmmmm............. Maybe this song is about how this system is corrupt (taking rations from the ballet box), costly (someone raised the price of dying to maximum vend again") and futile ("inseminating motives of lukewarm persistance"). Hmmm..... I remember hearing Cedric introduce this song about a child crawling into an old refrigerator and being forgotten. I think the "ground zero" refers to the nuclear family unit that pervades through suburbia. the "milk cartons" refer to the missing children that are found on the sides of milk. the "lovers quarrel" is the child. When he/she is finally found, the dessicated body is identified by dental records. |

this song may refer to the repeated attempts (and successes) of the United States government to exert its political will in Central America. "Stilt-leg presidents", "i'm not biting the lead my pencil's broken again we will fill in the blanks or i can cheat off your test"- a possible reference to election rigging. |

Me thinks this song refers to how our rampant world economy is slowly killing our natural resources. "parkas worn in summer apparel"- this quote could be a reference to the lack of ozone protection in New Zealand which is where the depletion of the ozone layer is most prevalent. "the running of the bulls will trample all the life support systems" "matadors chase the bulls in a china shop" An old 80's commercial from one of the bigger investment companies had a bull running through a shop filled with fragile items. I'm trying to remember what the narrator said but the song is a reference to how our elected officials (the matadors) encourage the bull (our economy, idealy a bull market) to run rampant without a care for our environment (the china shop). Just an opinion |
