No, not all punk girls are lesbians. But a lot of them are, and it's a stereotype. That's why I worte that. If they are maketing Pink towards lesbians, then of course the record companies are going to fall into the stereotypes, and not necessarily the truth. Record companies are ignorant of reality, so they play into all stereotypes and market to the extreme.

I think all you guys writing here are probably intelligent, but your writing doesn't show it. Can you please read over what you type before you add it to the message board? I think it would help everyone out. And while your at it, can you delete the homophobia? I know not everyone likes LGBT people, but you don't have to use it to insult other people and bring it into a posting about a simple rap song. I guess that's why I don't like Eminem's music; in it he promotes homophobia. I wish he wasn't so angry, but I guess I would be too if I had a life like his. However, I think he has a brilliant mind and is an awesome writer. Too bad he hasn't used his talents in other areas as of today, though I here the new movie he's in is great. They keep saying he's an incredible actor. We'll just have to wait and see.

Okay, I'm going to take the risk and say that I don't like this song. I think it is trite. And, I constantly hear it whenever I turn on the radio or happen to walk by a TV. I'm actually listening to it right now. It seems to blah and then he starts shouting at the chorus. Besides, if he was such a great father the courts would have given him custody of his son. Women can't just leave and take the kid; that's kidnapping. Sorry, I just don't like it. |

Has anyone else noted how Pink is aimed toward lesbians? "I'm coming out..." is a perfect example. Also, in the video, at the club near the end, Pink is dancing with only women. In the music video for Just Like a Pill there are two women acting very "suggestively" toward each other. Plus, she's dressed as a girl punk in the video. I'm not saying Pink is a lesbian (she reportedly has a boyfriend) but it's just interesting how they market her towards the lesbian crowd. And, it apparently works because every lesbian I know is in love with Pink. |
