Yeah, I originally thought that the song was about cocaine use too...I mean "power in the POWDER"...but when I've seen Yellowcard live, Ryan always says that the song is about oxycoton. I'm not sure, but I think that oxycoton pills can be opened and the powder inside snorted to get a person high...that could be the missing link, here :) |

Awesome, extremely melodic song. A song about drug addiction and the subsequent fall from grace that comes from substance abuse. Ryan from Yellowcard prefaces this song live by saying that it's about "Oxycoton". |

I've often heard that this song may be about one of the band members grandmothers dying. This would certainly help to better explain some parts of the song (ie. "Her life was more than mine, like a proud shooting star into the night, she crashed through the airwaves and ripped like a knife", "Her searching was over", "She never fell to her knees"). |
