Matt, I love both versions, but how can you say he sings it better than Rivers ever will? Rivers wrote the song so he sings it exactly how it was meant to be sung... whether or not you prefer his version of the song he wrote or the Dashboard Confessional version, which mind you I do love, is a different story, but Chris certainly can't sing it better than Rivers intended it to be sung. |

Sane, what do you mean there's no feeling! I see this as one of Rivers's classic hopelessly romantic songs. The song is about the flame dying out of a relationship that at one time was perfect, but now it is characterized by an inability to communicate, and Rivers can't understand what went wrong. |
