Out of all the songs on the CD this one holds the most personal meaning to me. The lyrical content is truly amazing and the song musically is awesome. |

Bryan Adams is the king of straight forward love songs. He's lyrics work magic on women unlike may other things I've seen. =) If you want a good remix of this song and like techno/trance then get the one done by DJ Sammy with vocals by Do. |

This song is so utterly annoying anytime I hear it I make an effort to destroy whatever it is producing the noise. Someone gave a room full of record exec's "oral pleasure" to get on the charts... that's the ONLY thing that can explain this songs existence. I'm sure it also about masturbation... which explains alot, as this is a masturbation of anything that was ever good in the music world. |

I think to date Hoobastank has managed to get 2 or 3 songs on the radio with in a pretty short amount of time. Which really doesn't stand out in my mind as a "one-hit-band". Although this song really caught my attention with the acoustic guitar opening and excellent vocals. The lyrics of the song are solid and heart felt to me. So many people can relate to this song, and for that reason alone I think it should be considered a great song. |

I agree. This song is very much about drug abuse. Although I was originally told by a semi-reliable source that "Black Balloon" was a reference to inhaling gas. Since gas is passed around *normally* in black balloons. This might be due to light senseitivity of the "gas" in the balloon, as not to tamper with it or make it less potent. Although listening to the lyrics would make me more inclinded to believe that this song was refering to Heroin... although a Heroin addict will wrap his arm in just about anythin laying around their shit hole empty apartment (Heroin addicts dont own much besides Heroin) if it gets them something to poke. But if you REALLY think this song is about drugs then what the HELL to these lines mean?
"Baby's black balloon makes her fly."
"And scatter like ice from the spoon." (h is normally cooked in a spoon before shot IV)
"Comin' down the world turned over." x2
"Comin' down the years turn over."
Then the song taken as a whole is slightly confusing but fits nicely. |
