This reminds me of past "dates" with my boyfriend. We used to just sit there in silence and watch TV...let me tell you, it was my ideal date..not really. It got to the point where I sat there with tears falling from my eyes because I just wish I knew what was going on, and I'd walk out of the room and cry in my room and he wouldn't notice I was gone, and he didn't seem to care. It seemed like all passion was gone and nothing was as it used to be; we couldn't look eachother in the eye the same way, I couldn't see my own reflection in his eyes and I used to, and he just didn't hold me or kiss me the way he used to. Gosh, I love dashboard.

"But your taste still lingers on my lips like I just placed them upon yours and I starve for you" for me, this is the most powerful point of the song. It makes me feel like, it's like one of those feelings where I just wished I would have gotten another kiss...like one last goodbye, but instead of that sort of "closure" the taste and memories are still there. this is by far my fave dc song.

This is so easy to relate to for so many people. Like, for me, I definately had this experiance, and it was more than heart breaking to find out from someone else about what was happening. And at the same time, after it was over, the person tried to get back, saying how much they regret what happened and how they'd change and make everything better. But once you move on, there's no looking back, and I make sure not to look back on the person I once thought I knew. Dashboard just seems to bottle up all my emotions and hurt and put them in songs that I can relate to and have so many memories with.

Ashanti – Happy Lyrics

I'm not completely into the rapper/R&B stuff, but there are a select few artists that catch my eye. Ashanti is one of them. This song is all too familiar to one of my experiances. To me, it's about that wonderful relationship you've dreamed of, like one where you get home from a date, close the door, and close your eyes, smile, and think "how did I ever get so lucky?" It's one of those things where you feel like you don't have a care in the world when you're with that other person. This is probably one of my favorite tracks of hers.

Michelle Branch – Second Chances Lyrics

this song means so much to me! I seem to think of verses from this song all the time. Like, with my boyfriend, he gets upset about things and he'll tell me not to worry about it, and after hearing this song I was like, "but I will worry, and it does matter" And He's given me so many second chances in things. I think that I learn best from experiance and the mistakes i've made, which mistakes can make you look the opposite of what you say, like when they "eat your words". Second chances are awesome, especially when you're forgiven and given the chance to make it past the first.
