Well, pretty much all of power metal is on the theme of Kings, warriors dragons, magic and the such. But in no way are they connected wih the companies. Rhapsody wanted to do an album based on Lord of the Rings but couldn't due to copywright. Blind Guardian have if I recall correctly.
But I ramble, yes Rhapsody are a good power metal band, sometimes a bit too classical for my liking I also like Hammerfall, Falconer and Nightwish.
I had a point when I started writing but it's gone now. |

I was skeptical as I downloaded this song, but it is in fact really cool. It is about time that some artists really beef up some of the classics because it can, like this, sound awesome with electric violins and electric guitars. |

It's a cool song, but only as a song. The intro is cool, sounding like some sort of Vietnam battle or maybe WWII, then the song itself of anti-war comes in and rocks. But the video is awful, it's Japanese animation with a load of robots flying around with huge rocket launchers. |

Pretty cool, especially the electric violins, and the deep voice adds a darker hint to it. The first song that I downloaded of Elvenking and it's pretty cool. I can never be sure whether to classify Elvenking as Power Metal or as Folk Metal. |

A good song. I downloaded this by the mistakes of the morons on Kazaa who thought that this was Rhapsody - Gargoyles, Angels of Darkness. And it wasn't just one moron. There were at least six sheeping people who have done this and not noticed.

I know Middle Earth incredibly well, but I don't think that this is specifically one of its tales. It is saying that even though you may be forgotten by people the tales of your deeds will be sung by the bards for all eternity. And when people hear the songs of your deeds they may not have known you but the memory of you will be with them always. |

I loved Lord of the Rings, Unfinished tales, the Silmarillion and all things to do with Middle Earth. But I don't think that Blind Guardian does justice to it, their singing isn't good nor is their background music. If you want a decent band who sing of the days of yore listen to Hammerfall, they do not use Middle Earth, but they are a lot better than Blind Guardian. |
