| well, i think that becasue the intro right before the song contains parts from the movie "dawn of the dead" that it also kinda looks at the world as the last living souls would after a zombie break out, lol, i dunno, i just remember looking in the song credits in the booklet thingy and seeing that the intro had "dawn of the dead" music in it, and then the song after it talks about being the only ones alive, so i look at it that way, kinda an amusing way to look at it | |

| now for my comment about the new style, yes, it is different, yes alot of people don't like it, but take it from someone who saw them 4 times this past summer, they are loving the new stuff, i haven't seen leroi smile more in the 4 years i've been going to see them live, and that carries over into the old songs, they were having a ball at all 4 shows and it was awesome, i myself was alittle edgy about the new stuff, but ever since seeing it live, i'm in love with it, bayou is a sweet jam song, hello again has awesome solos, and even american baby intro is sweet, dave reverts to a tribal feel like he does in bartender and wails throughout the once 2 min. intro now 7 min. jam making it one of my fav. songs to see live, and if hunger for the great light were to be lengthend with a violen solo and/or sax. solo it would be a whole new Watchtower, this stuff is freaking incredible live, and i now that if anyone who doesn't like the new style sees it live they will love it too, as for the feel, yeah it may be light on dave's driving guitar playing (see Drive in Drive Out, What Would You Say, or Satellite) but it is heavier in the other members area's, and it's still dmb and it's still awesome | |

| all this talk about is it patriotic or not, the song is not about the war, it is not bashing the president, i've listened to dave explain the song, he even said it's not about those things, he said the song is looking back at our country and what is was, and how even though it's changing, hopefully it doesn't stear away from things that make our country so great, things like apple pie, picnics, baseball and values, he is saying "yes we may be changing, but lets not forget who we are or where we came from" not all this stuff about bashing the president or how he hates the war, yes it might mean that to some of you, but stright from dave's lips, it's not about any of that, it's about remembering what made, is making and will make america great, our history and morals, and if you doubt me, watch vh1 storytellers and listen to what dave says about it | |

| i'm pretty sure the line is not "you and i, such a pretty thing" but "you've, got, such a pretty face" but i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure it's not what is up here, as far as what the song is about, SEX, that's all, i know it's been oversaid, but one more person confirming it won't hurt, Fonzie played the riff and carter jumped in and added to it, then dave re-worked it and cleaned it up, cause i've seen the way fonzie played it on the dvd and how dave plays it live and they are not the same, same notes, but dave plays the whole thing mostly towards the head of the guitar and not moving the power chords up the neck, and then dave wrote the dirty sex lyrics as per fonzie's request | |

| actually, butch is the one playing all the piano parts in this song live and on the album, he has been playing with them since before the crowded streets, and has done all of the piano work, most people are waiting for them to include him as a full memeber of the band since he's been at every show since the everyday tour and has been on busted stuff and stand up, if you watch the duel side of the stand up cd it shows that he has his own space and is there playing with them the whole time, it does show dave, carter and even fonzy playing on the piano and other things, but as far as the recordings, it's all butch, i myself thought it was dave til i watched the dvd and saw them live with this song and out of my hands, sorry, but it's all butch | |

i love this song, it's so great, as for the political motives, i think it's not really taking a shot at anything, but taking a look at our country over the years, and that dave hopes that our country lives up to what it used to be back around ww1 and ww2 and not morph into the "bully" of the world and another note to Just1 BigEyedFish, unfourtunatly, joy ride and sugar will are not going to be on the album, if you go to www.antsmarching.org you can see the track list, both joy ride and sugar will are on the b-side, so you can get them by pre-ordering the album through the Warehouse, but sadly they're not on the album |

| This song reminds me of a friend of mine who lives five states away, she comes and visits over the holidays and spends the summers with her dad here in the town i live in. While she's here, i'm in heaven, when she's not, life is just boaring. The reason it reminds me of her is that she a boyfriend and the last time she came to visit it was hard to talk with her and hang out because of him, and i wanted to "climb insider" her "mind, and hug and hold" her "and mold her into what i like" which would be single...but i can't....so i'll just have to wait and see what comes about. | |
