How true? We all wish we could go back to happier times. Freddie is writing this though when he knows he hasn't got much time left which makes it especially moving. I think he's sending a message out to us all to enjoy the time we have. the "i still love you" at the end was of course the very last thing that Freddie said on camera before he died. In the video you can see his pain, sorrow and regret but also a glint of satsifaction as he knows that although he is about to die, his music will live forever. |

A lot of the lines in this song come from old liverpool playground songs eg, "yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye". I think this is just a mixture of all john's experiences through life totally meshed together in a dream-like way through the use of LSD. Maybe it doesn't mean anything at all but i'm sure that it meant something to john, even if it was only that nothing really makes any sense. ? ? |
