I just saw the Ataris in concert on Weds and Kris mentioned they finally got a letter back from this girl. She survived! She wrote a thank you for the song and Kris seemed so happy that she hadn't let go...and kept holding on. |

yeah, these lyrics are wrong so check friendsforfebruary's post for the corrections. This is the most amazing song on their new album! I just saw them perform it live, which was thousands of times better than the Cd! Just by their actions while singing it, I don't think it's about God...more likely a girl. I mean, this is emo (supposedly). |

It seems like his heart is torn...the breakup is a relief, but breaks the heart at the same time. "you stole my parachute and I only had one"...he gave her all he had. She took it and now she's gone. Definately a breakup song...the most beautiful song done by them (in my humble opinion :) |
