the guy in the song seems to know that his wife isnt happy with living the way they do as he keeps on reminding her 'remember we wanted that'... not really a happy family, just living the way they're expected to. anyways, its a great song; one of my favourites from the album. |

i agree with milhouse... this is one of my favourite songs by bad religion.
bretts comparing a drug addiction with a relationship with a girl- anesthesia; the name of a girl, the drug. the way the drug is personified works very well i think, where he is addicted to the girl. he cant help taking the drug again- he doesnt go looking for it but it finds him. when he says 'i never loved you' it shows how helpless he is when he comes accross the drug again. |

of all the yellowcard songs, this is my favourite... its beautiful. i think its about him leaving her even though it hurts him so much. he seems to thinks that she doesnt love him as much as he loves her, but he's asking her to prove him wrong so he can come back. his 'epic drama' and 'scripted page' is his letter telling her what he thinks, and he wants her to correct his 'rough draft'. thats what came into my head when i read the lyrics anyway. when i first listened to the song, the line that seemed to stand out most to me was 'wouldn't want to wake the eyes that make me melt inside'.. |

is this song about blink 182??! ive heard a few rumours that it was written about blink cuz they would always be mentioned in green day interviews and stuff. the lines 'everybody loves a fool but no one likes a fool', and your well rehearsed on every verse... etc' could be about how everyone says that theyre crap live...

yeh its is about suicide but i think it might be almost an anti-suicide song, like in the first verse he sounds really disbelieving that his friend would consider him lucky to still be alive (you... you called me...). also, i dont know about you but the verse about the stars sounds really pitiful, if someone said that to me, id imagine that they were really feeling sorry for themselves and a bit self centered prehaps. skiba also ends with 'dont let your life rot you inside out', wanring you to make the most of your life maybe, but i dont think hes sympathising much |
