retard...there's a lot of stuff we SHOULD do, isn't there? you phrased that so moronically, it makes me almost hate you. don't tell us what we should and shouldn't listen to. you could say that you recommend stuff, or that we should check it out...but god you sound like an asshole. and i'm sure that right now, i do too. whatever. |

NOFXJuggaloGirgo..."you cant consider yourself punk until u have this cd!!! ?" buy buy buy? how punk of you. that was one of the lamest, most upsetting comments i've ever come across on song meanings. you suck. |

there are only about 10 comments on here before mine, but a good chunk of them are ridiculously ignorant. theonechick, if you find this completely unexpected from a 'punk' band because you're used to hearing about boys and girls and love, then you've got to reconsider your definitions of punk and stop listening to so much to sum 41. and to the character who corrected someone's spelling of a name, whoa. calm down. we're not all fabulous spellers. i get my name spelled wrong all the time and you don't see me freaking out. someone's got to get their priorities in order and stop belittling people according to their spelling. whew. rant being done with, this is an awesome song with an awesome message we should all take seriously. take care. |

well i think it's pretty obvious they're talking about drugs. heroin most likely. there are quite a few references to it. also, that would make sense about the sid part, if they were indeed talking about sid vicious. then again, the drugs could just be a metaphor, ultimately giving the song another, deeper meaning. but drugs are definately involved, for those of you who say you have no idea. read. |

Alright, we all understand that this song probably isn't about 'the Tragedy of September 11th' but about the propagandha machine they're making of it, right? It's fucking sick. |

wow, what a bitter, bitter world. would you leave these kinds of comments if they hadn't been voted (if unjustly) to the top 5? no. just because its not dashboard confessional, or something, you don't seem to be giving it a chance. sure, it's not a great song, but you're treating it so much worse than you would if it were just another song on songmeanings that hadnt made the top 5. you assholes. |

wierd. i see the song as very negative, very depressing. most christians don't see their god like that. that's why i'm thinking it isn't about him.
but perhaps they're catholic...haha...nevermind. |

i dont think its relating to god. i think it's about a shallow partener who left them. i think this because i guess i *am* the shallow partener and i left a really good relationship for a goddamn desert. "the water is shallow and nothing is as deep as you hoped it would be" is seing that there is nothing behind a pretty face. expecting hte depth you had in your previous relationship with the current, then being horribly disappointed. |
