This song is definitely one of the most imaginative Placebo songs, I think it's the best. The song feels so dreamy and full of emotional lunacy. Pure beauty this is. |

I think it's saying your wearings yourself out to impress someone to notice you, and it just never works and then your trying to get away from it. Thom's vocal's are really moving in this, especially in the "I can't help the feeling" part. It really does make me wanna cry |

"sussed out" - finally grasping the concept of how the world works. I think this song is about thie guy who is trying to impress everyone, and wanting acceptance. But everyone sees through his disguise and don't bother with him and he's lonely so he's left high and dry. |

I think he's trying to find an excuse about why his life is so dysfunctional but doesn't want to blame it on the "Black star" which happens to be the relationship. |

About an artist? Haven't heard that one, I always thought the song's meaning was pure and simple - just getting along in this world and stop antagonising each other. |

| Tool – Stinkfist Lyrics

Well everyone has alot of diverse opinions here but really this song is in the style of being in the footstep of a person who embraced life to it's extremes (Finger, Shoulder, Elbow). Since the song's title is called stinkfist it's obvious he got his hands dirty from all sorts of things tangible and untangible. This person who Maynard is talking about embraces life to it's fullest but still is digging deeper to find something more meaningful. |

Yeah its about conformity and being a dissolute from the "in crowd". It's about being yourself and not trying to live up to peopls expectations. |

Hate might be the first thought at face value of what this song might be about when you first hear it. But its NOT. It's about silly immuture and chauvinistic hate. Very angsty song, definitely one of the best. |

This song is about a rich person who takes his life for granted. That is until he has to spend a night in a trashy hotel room he can't stand staying in but can't get out till the next day. |

And aslo Maynard said one time on tour when Tool did play this song it was about having the Devil and an Angel on each shoulder fighting with each other. |

The reason why they don't play this on tour anymore or rarely is because maynard finds this song to be more of a painful reminder. Maynard says that he stops playing a song that loses it's meaning to him. Tool songs are about moments and capturing them, whether it's something he felt angry about and wanted to scream about at the time. If he doesn't feel that way he won't play it because it's just a reminder of the past, and plus he says it's like telling a fake story. |

I cherish this song, I so relate to what Daniel is saying. Definitely one of the deepest silverchair songs ever. I like how he's taken a negative recipirocal approach to the songs misinterpreted topic ("love") This song is so true especially when the chorus "Remember today I have respect for you" |

I couldn't agree more with you guys. But my favourite line is "Your tiny hands, Your crazy kitten smile". Definitely the best Radiohead song ever. Can't wait to hear a studio version. |

This song is about fighting a drug addiction and knowing your going to get your ass kicked, and all you want to do is escape earth's gravity because it is all too much. This addicition has hit this person's "achilles heel" |

| Placebo – Teenage Angst Lyrics

Obviously this song's general theme is "teenage angst", hence the title. To me this song means a hell of alot, this song gives me flashbacks of my early teen angst years.
But anyway, where Brian is saying
"You see through my disguise"
He's saying how people see through you when you try to be pretentious and be something your not.
This is just my opinion but the "Shine the headlight" and "roadkill" lines before he might be relating it to some old boy racers pretending to be more of themselves.
"Since I was born I started to decay.
Now nothing ever ever goes my way "
- This is self-explanatory, obviously he would be fed up when everything crashes down..
This is just my personal interpretation but in the line "I'll stick to my needle and my favourite waste of time" even though it's about a drug addiction I think it could be about looking for someone you love that has mysteriously dissapeared off the face of the earth, and trying to find them is a waste of time like they are a needle stuck in the haystack. It's spineless to look for ages and sublime when you've got the result. |

Songs mean different things to different people. People interpret songs in different ways according to their personal state-of-mind. (And I know someone has possibly stated this) And personally I think this song is just the prettiest. It does make me cry from time to time because of the deep meaning and emotion in this song. The general theme though is about "being overlooked". And another thing: When did Maynard claim to have written these words? |
