This song is one of the many out there that is against your parents. The speaker seems to be in a situation like mine, where your parents just don't listen or understand. The music and tone of the song is aggressive, and angry. It implies that no matter how loud you yell, they'll never hear you, so your feelings stay "locked inside my head". It's a great song. |

It's about desperation of depression. You feel like no one understands you, no matter what you tell them. "So I speak to you in riddles/Because my words get in my way." The voice is strained and slightly pleading, as many are when they contemplate suicide. The "right thing" that is referred to in the last line is the choice of life or death. The right thing to do is a personal choice and ultimately, affects only that person. |
