| Queens of the Stone Age – The Blood Is Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think the last line "the blood is love" characterises the whole song. i think the blood is love a references to the dark, painful side of love rather than just the fluffy light side. after all blood is a strong symbolism for pain, suffering and sacrifice. | |
| Death from Above 1979 – You're Lovely (But You've Got Lots of Problems) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this is also on the second cd in your a woman, im a machine along with better off dead, Do it and a few remixes | |
| Death from Above 1979 – Cold War Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| my first impression of this song is that the woman has some sort of terminal disease and has 3 years to live. this causes arguments and so forth in the relationship because she changes abit. they make it up over time and now she has 2 months to live. she has 3 clear choices, to tell him (if she loves him), to break up and just leave it or to carry on without telling him anything. | |
| Death from Above 1979 – Black History Month Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
it almost seems like someone is looking back on their childhood and seeing the potential, what they could have become. they could have been an architect or an astrologist but instead something happens like their parents leaving which stops them achieving this. Perhaps it has a race link in it too. for example in the past black children couldn't have even wished to become an architect. or perhaps they were slaves and split up from their parents. |

| Queens of the Stone Age – A Song For The Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i neveer know whether to air drum or air guitar to this song... its one of my favourate qosta songs still havent much of a clue to what its about, experience i guess, which ulimately ends in death no matter how you live. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Burn The Witch Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
the more i listen to this song the more it sounds liek its about the media. i think it is saying how to sell paers or magazines etc. they just make up shit and lie. "To twist the tale Into firewood Fan the flames With a little lie" but the celebrity cant respond cos it just make it worse so they have to Then "turn your cheek Until the fire dies" the truth will proably never be known. the "What it was I will never say..." bit makes it sound personal. so maybe that brody dalle thing or perhaps something to do with nick?? |

| Queens of the Stone Age – Hangin' Tree Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i love how this song mixes the romance of summer, the breeze with hanging, dearth and dependence. perhaps thats the meaning? it also sounds like its a piss take of romance, which i wouldnt put past them. |

| Queens of the Stone Age – The Blood Is Love Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| forgive the cliche but i cant believe nobody has posted on this song. its one of favs from lullalyes to paralyze. i like how this song is really dark and a bit creepy. The meaning is a bit lost on me tho, it seems to be describing how somebody has lost a love and in the end up questions the very notion of love, in the end concludes that out of pain and suffering love in made? ther also seems to be references to sex "now are one out of two" and "the seed waits for the reaper to sew" | |
| Bloc Party – She's Hearing Voices Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
the mental illness does fit it actually. the 1st verse is o about the characoristics of what ever she has. the bit in the middles is on about the answer is to stuf her full of pills "red pill, Blue pill" and then the drugs dont really cure anything just makes teh situation worse and more awkward |

| Bloc Party – Luno Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
i think this song has hints of domestic violence in but not sure if thats what its meant to be. "And your nose is bleeding You've been lying to me" self explanatary really, she (i assume its a she) didnt ttell him somethign and he hit her. "There will be no hesitation There will be no confrontation There will be no indication There will be no cause There will be no exultation There will be no justification There will be no way at all" lays down the mentality of the relationship.he will do what he wants, hit her for no reason with no warning. "I can heal the blind I can cure the sick I can say the right things I can say the right things Where d'you get so cruel Where do you go Cos you're never here" this show how malipuative the abuser can be, making out that he is good and nice and can be really nice and good. at the same time making it out as if its her fualt for him hittin her, shes in teh wrong. |

| Bloc Party – So Here We Are Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
i think this track is talkign about the increase in divorce that is occuring particully in Britain. and the person keeps marrying and divorcing. "I made a vow To carry you home " suggests a marriage and "I really tried To be what you wanted It all went wrong Again" suggests a break down in the relationship, and the persos been through it before. the repeating of the vow line to me says it happens more than once and plays into the constant use of again. by the end of the song i think the person relises the mistakes. |

| Bloc Party – Price of Gas Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
i think this song is describing how the world only cares for money and greed and how capitalism sustains itself."The price of gas keeps on rising Nothing comes for free" just reinforces this point. "Just swat the fly" says that big companies just squash people who get in there way, as long as they get what they want I.E money. "The ghosts are here, red white and blue" i think this line refers to the past of britain, how British Empire invaded and conquered teh globe and took loads of stuff and ruined countries. i also think there is an element of conservation and environmental issues are in this song. teh "mid sized car" suggests an effort has been made to reduce polution and the person thinks that because they are drving a small car it will make it all better "it never hurt anyone" the environment issue comes back with mentions of "spade" and "trowels" |

| Bloc Party – Like Eating Glass Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| thats a good interperatation,i would never have thought of it. it makes sense though. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Give The Mule What He Wants Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
one of my fav qosta songs. i think the mule is a metaphore for going back to instincts. to me it means that you gotta go out there and get what you want, even if it means you'll hurt other people - "be the mule that you gotta be". hmmph, just a thought |
|
| Kyuss – One Inch Man Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i was curious as to what it meant, i didint think it could be as obvious as a small member. it makes a lot more sense witht they guy feeling really small. i think in the last verse the guys insecurities are coming out. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – First It Giveth Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i kinda agree with -enternamehere-, i always thought it was about life, but with religous ties, i dunno giveth and taketh just seem religous to me. but i guess the drugs things makes more sense. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Tension Head Lyrics | 21 years ago |
