| P.O.D. – Youth Of The Nation Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| This song is about the Columbine shootings. All members of P.O.D. attended Columbine Highschool and so when that tragedy occurred they were very closely affected by it. More than liekly they knew some of the people who were still there. They may have even had family there. Needless to say this song gives a positive message about how life isn't really all fun and games and there is no one to blame for mistakes. We just need to own upo to our responsibilties and face life head on. Live for Christ! | |

I personally love the new POD stuff and this song is a shining example of why. Sonny is finally realizing he can be a Christian and not have to have every song be souly about his love for God. I think that this song is about someone ( either a real person or peolple in general) who makes Sonny feel like less of a person. They tell him that because he is tatooed and peirced he cannot be anything but a freak. Also the part where he says "Kick me while I'm down, I want you to" is very Biblical. In the Bible it says that if someone smacks your face to turn and let them smack the other cheek. He is simply turning cheeks because greater is his reward in Heaven. |
