| The Beatles – Happiness Is a Warm Gun Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I think that this song is totally about sex, like John said in his interview. I can see how someone might get a heroin reference in some parts of the song, but it ignores other parts. Can't a gun be a euphemism for a man's...? And the girl is the trigger. "Mother Superior jump the gun." In the beginning, i think that he is saying that his girl is experienced in the bedroom. And the soap impression? Could that be a "clean" version of the wife, and the hobnail boot man "ate" her -- another euphemism. He would rather have the dirty one. Anyway. |

| Elliott Smith – Somebody That I Used to Know Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is disgustingly beautiful. When you listen to it and its guitar and his gorgeous voice it feels like some secret, somehow situations are put right within those two minutes, and then afterwards, you are left with a feeling of loss, but it's satisfying. At least that's how i feel. Plus, couplets have never seemed so tragic. i almost don't want to share it with anyone for fear that they would not understand and undermine its meaning to me. And i agree with "onemoregetupkid," that line is final, there is no indecision in this song. | |
