I can relate a lot to this song. It's just
how i have grown up, without a dad. I was told all my life that i had to be successfull by my dad, just like the song states. He doesn't see his dad, whether he died or left home, but he tries to explain that he knows he didn't do everything his dad wanted him to, didn't follow every path with was intended for him, but he is sorry for this. He states that nobody is perfect and he did what he wanted to do, what he believed in. He is saying that i'm sorry i didn't do everything you had planned for me dad, but i made my own decisions and followed my own path and this is where it landed me, im not perfect, but i tried. This is exactly how i have grown up. |

i recon this song was written while hoobastank where at high school. and dan and doug were geaks and after one partically bad lesson of PE, danb got well sick at the jocks ands doug dared him to steel some clothes. and dan did and got into alsorts of geaky fun! actually if this was true id be well impressed coz its way funny. |
