im sorry, but this song just isnt about God. He says he wants 2 sit outside Heavens door because to him shes an angel, and so he compares Heaven to her room (he also used the same line earlier except he said of 'your door' rather than Heaven's). It does say grace, not Christ. People can be graceful, its a word used 2 describe graceful people - the arms of grace are symbolic to just falling back into her, and covering himself withthoughts of her which makes him feel more 'sane' i think when he asks god, which one is you he means God, which one is you. saying God like that is a simple phrase used by nonreligious people alike, and he wants to know which voice is the one he's made up of her in his head, like a second conscience.. BrigThyme, would u prefer to be peaceful and calm in the face of a lie, or stressed and anxious because you know the only help you're going to get will be coming from your friends - cos weather he exists or not, he sure dont put his neck out 2 help yall... maybe thats because of people like me, but i guess some people just get a test or two that breaks them, and when two people in love have both been tested too far it muct just reenforce that.. If God really was perfect, he wouldnt want all these songs and prayers anyway - cos surely his ego just wouldnt b this huge, just 4 causing misery? Smile_lots22, How do you mean have God to "Hold you together", if i truly believed that such an unfair, misery-spreading being was the almighty, thats enough 2 break me apart as it is. I'd much rather believe that what happens to me isnt deliberate, because it might be a stupid test to him, but fuck, its my life hes playing with and sure if he gave it to me u might say he's got a right 2 ruin it, but isnt he meant 2 be a great thing? If i knew it was a someone who had done what theyve done to me or my K, then i wudnt worship them, if they had a throat id rather rip it out that worship them, and i hate violence! |

hey ownpersonaldemon im not christian myself (well i am officially i spose) and im not particularly anything, i just believe in karma more than anything i spose. Mate these people dont all try an preach it though, its just their way of coping, like slitting wrists etc. Can't you just laugh it off - insulting people will just make them renounce you before they know you, yeah? The song is ace, it has a personal meaning to everyone - religious to religious people, practical to practical. Even personal experiances will change the way you view the song, so trying to convince everyone to agree with a point is pointless - the idea of the comments is purely to enlighten, i feel. |

The only song that can live up to this is 'its been a while' by Staind...Would that be fair to say? I think so. Oh an to me it means she's dumped him cos she thinks he's useless (thief that can't steal etc) and shes sorry but he has to go, and hes upset and drinkin to the bottom of every bottle. He knows he's had his lows but she is really bringing it home mercylessly how useless he is, and now it comes to it, he agrees. God, i almost seemed sensible with that.
