Citizen Cope – Bullet And A Target Lyrics 19 years ago
Citizen Cope has a very similar style to a guy named Josh Garrels, especially this one. If you like this song, definitely check out Josh. I got to see him in concert and was blown away. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Skillet – Better Than Drugs Lyrics 19 years ago
you can... but you have to willingly admit your are not the god of yourself, that something else out there is worth living FOR. it's an amazing freedom you can receive, and i hope you find it. if you don't have an outlet, go read the Bible, and if that's too intimidating, then Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, or Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper... Find Truth

Ryan Adams – The Shadowlands Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this is less of a story about a dysfunctional family, and more of one about a bad father/husband. The fact that the husband is on drugs, and the daughter sees her mom hiding the money. She thinks tha'ts how men are, and never wants to be married to one (the wedding rings line). The line, "Sometimes you can just be a man" is such a good one, because it's talking about not being the father/husband he should be. It's unfortunate that there are so many guys out in the world that get caught up in life(drugs/sex/whatever it may be), and don't provide those roles to their families.

Chevelle – The Clincher Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song has a lot of Biblical references to it. A little background, Jesus was basically crucified by his own people. They didn't believe He was God. The lyrics, "could we have known, never would I" talk about the Jews, and even all sinners, realizing now for real that he was God, that we wouldn't have crucified him. The clincher in reality is that Jesus died for every one of us, and that we should have been the one's on that cross. After Jesus died, and rose, he told his disciples to go and teach all nations a.k.a. "Now saturate the earth", that's just my take on it. take it for whatever. good song no matter what.

Thousand Foot Krutch – This Is a Call Lyrics 21 years ago
Seriously, they ripped this song off of Our Lady Peace. If you have not heard Innocent by Our Lady Peace, then buy the CD or something. Our Lady Peace deserves credit for the lyrics and the music.... I like Thousand Foot Krutch, but c'mon... this is going a little too far.

Damien Rice – Cannonball Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about learning everything the hard way. He's trying to think logically to figure out his relationship, and the pieces just don't fit together. then the chorus talks everything opposite. "Stones taught me to fly" hint that what he was going into and what he learned were two different things. He learned it all the hard way. Then at the end he finally realizes there's a much bigger plan out there for him, and he has no control and no matter how smart he gets... He's never know how it's gonna end/

Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics 21 years ago
Well, considering I'm like the 1000th person to say something about this song, i doubt this will be read. But i feel i have some input on the meaning of this song so if you read this, thank you. Anyways, the whole meaning of this song revolves around it's title and another line, "this is because I can spell konfusion with a k" All you mathematicians know that K is the sign for constant. i feel he spells Konstantine with a K because she is his Constant in life. No matter what happens, she is always in the equation. the line, "this is because I can spell konfusion with a k" is another thing spelled w/ a K. even though she is always in the equation, confusion is also in there. It's an awesome song. another thing. When he was with her, he always saw her in the future. She had her future all planned out, and now he's changed it, that's caused the confusion and trouble. as you can see here - "but I'm slipping in between
you and your big dreams
it's always you
in my big dreams "
The songs got everything, and i think everyone can relate to it.

Coldplay – The Scientist Lyrics 22 years ago
i'm gonna be the oddball and think of this song differently in it's meaning. this song does sorta sound like the relationship went bad, but maybe it never happened. the lyrics "Running in circles,
Calling tails, heads on a silence apart. " might signify that he had a really good friend he always wanted to have more than a friend, but things always went really well and then when things got to get relaly close to a relationship, tails. it never worked. it just seems like, he'd start off as just friends again, and he always wanted to tell her how he felt, and "Tell me your secrets, And ask me your questions, " he wanted to figure out how she felt about him... i dunno. it just seems like, they always got really close but something kept them from getting that next step and pushed them back to being regular friends. i got the twist cuz i know how he feels. but awesome song, very powerful...

Staind – So Far Away Lyrics 22 years ago
I think this song is really talking about how Aaron's life has become everything he wanted, or maybe he's finally accepted what it has become. He talks about how his life has become something it wasn't before, and it has become his dream land, and in the beginning of the song, he just finds it unbelievable and wants to wake up cuz he knows it's not true. and he's found something so pure and so right, that he's waited for all of his life, away from all the lies and deceit of everyday life. and he realizes nothing he thought was important before, really matters. and his views change about everything and he realizes nothing can make his next day go wrong. and he's not faking his happiness anymore and he's realized in the end of the song that this just isn't some dream, it's true. but he doesn't want anything to happen to ruin this, and he just doesn't want anyone to wake him from this life he's waited for for so long. awesome song.
