Dashboard Confessional – Anyone, Anyone? Lyrics 23 years ago
I think the line about never really mastering disinterest is about how he really cares about this girl, but she doesn't seem to care. And because she doesn't really seem to care he wishes he could be the same way and not care about her. But he cares about her so much, that he can't even pretend to be disinterested. That's just my take on it.

All of those bands were truly in it for the music. My bad.

Oh boy. Just when I was getting ready to go to bed, I made the mistake of coming no here and reading all of these stupid waste of time posts. I'm not sure exactly what it is about some people that makes them so retarded, but I guess it must be some kind of pre-teen rebelling against society thing that they'll hopefully outgrow by the time they hit puberty. I'm assuming by the quality of some of these posts on here that we've been graced by the presence of several children in the 13-15 year old range. As somebody who's a little bit older, and doesn't have his head up his ass, let me explain something to you. MTV DOES NOT CHANGE ANYBODY'S MUSIC. I'm not exactly sure when songmeanings.com became an unofficial 'bitch about MTV because it's the trendy thing to do' webpage, but it sickens me to see this kind of stuff on here. Artists make music that they want to make. MTV does not force anybody to make different music. The problem does not lie in MTV, but it lies in the artists themselves. MTV does not force artists to change. The true problem is that sometimes when an artist starts to get famous, they concentrate more on living a rich boy lifestyle and less on the music. Take the band Korn for example. Korn's last two or three albums have sucked dick (that's probably gonna get edited out). But that's not because MTV made them write crappy music. They just decided that since they were rich and famous, they could spend more time doing other rich person stuff and less time making good music. On the other side of the argument, you have bands like the Clash, Jimi Hendrix, and a little group of guys from England called The Beatles. These are examples of bands that continued to write good music even after achieving incredible amounts of fame and fortune. This was the case because all of those bands/artists were truly in it for the money. The quality of the music depends completely and totally 100% on the quality and dedication of the artist making it. MTV has never, and will never cause any artist to make crappy music. That's just a little story that kids tell each other when their favorite band starts to suck. As far as DC is concerned, I think he's gonna continue to write good music over the years. And I also think you're gonna hear alot of that good music on the radio. Because that's what happens to good music. It gets played on the radio. Now, quit your whining and let's get the spotlight back on the music where it belongs.

Saves the Day – Nightingale Lyrics 24 years ago
Woah Duffman, settle down there buck-o. I've never even heard this song before, but I definitely think you're taking the completely wrong approach to this. If you're a fan of a band, doesn't that mean you wanna see them do well? So waht if some people are just getting into the band now? There were alot of people who were fans before you, and there will be many fans after you. Instead of cutting people down, you might wanna try and point out some other good songs they can check out. You gotta give props to the band and help them get new fans. You didn't really think you could keep them to yourself forever, did you?

Mest – Girl For Tonight Lyrics 24 years ago
This is an excellent song by an excellent band. Thinking about going to see them and Unwritten law this Thursday. I'd have to say that the second verse of this song really sums up my last month or so at college. Lost my love, and now I'm just gettin' drunk and hookin' up. Great song.
