| Britney Spears – I'm a Slave for You Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| If everyone who’s posted their comments on here is a ‘hater’ then add me to that list. I HATE that stuff like this is all that ever gets played on the radio these days. I HATE that people with real talent are getting overlooked in favor of vapid robots that lip-synch all of their concerts. Where is the respect for bands that go out and give awesome shows every night and play and sing live? Why do I hardly ever see them on MTV anymore or hear their music on top 40 radio? They’ve worked just as hard, if not a hell of a lot harder. Sure, some of them, like DMB are out there, and good for them. But there’s just so much great stuff out there that people, especially kids, aren’t hearing because they just take what’s thrown at them, the same 10 videos they show on TRL every day. So you want to know what this song means to me? It means very little chance of me ever getting to see the bands that I love in concert, or to see their video on MTV at a time other than 4 o’clock in the damn morning. Or even to hear their song on the radio. I think I have just as much right as everyone else to be able to turn on the radio and hear my favorite song, or not to have to sometimes shell out upwards of $30 for an imported CD. Yeah, MY music means a hell of a lot to me. Everyone has a right to defend what they like and slag what they don’t, and fair play to them. I like ugly British indie bands with heart. Go Coldplay. | |
