I really love the song... There's a short story I remember reading in my 10th grade English classabout an automated house that carries out all its tasks without a human ever being mentioned. Actually, it mentions a dog that comes in and dies quietly. Anyway, at the end of the story the author takes you outside the huose where 3 of it's 4 sides are immaculate, but on the 4th side the paint is all bubbled and charred with the outline of a woman tending her flowers, a man pushing a lawn mower and a small boy tossing a ball. The author then takes your view even farther out to tell you all houses but this one were destroyed & the automated house eventually shuts down. This is always what I think of from "we become silhouettes when our bodies finally go" to the end of the song. That's just my thought *shrug* |
