I believe he is trying to tell another person how he feels about them by using metaphors. He is also describing the situation as if they are at a concert or something. The drink line is long and everyone has their cell phones out etc. It sounds as if both the situation and feelings are making him kind of sick. He is trying to explain it all to her but he is not sure if it makes sense. |

I think this song is about a one night stand, specifically the aftermath. It sounds like maybe they hooked up after a night of partying and he is looking at her the next day. He is contemplating whether he has feelings for her or not. He is pondering hooking up again or trying for something more later. All these thoughts are turning around in his head. |

I agree with powerbait. I think it's about how most can relate to the hurt and other feelings in the songs that singers write. At the same time they are not saving anyone's lives from a distance. Like, they have all these fans who can relate to them, but maybe they are being naive in believing that it's real, that the fans really know them. The fans are naive for believing the same thing as well, as if the singer is talking directly to or about them. When in reality he has a real person at home away from his performing life that is waiting for him to be all he sings about to her. |

So I just added the lyrics the other night even though the EP has been out for almost 2 years now. Anyways, I think the song meaning is pretty literal. This person is experiencing a new or young relationship. He does not want to repeat the mistakes of the past relationships and he finds himself sometimes getting carried away with those same actions or thoughts as before. But, he has broad shoulders meaning he can handle it this time around and not get "carried away." Also there are religious references, Sampson and God, Sampson being one of the first heroes in the Bible (Book of Judges chapters 13 to 16). |

Also, I forgot to mention 2 years ago that this song emulates the sounds of a train as well. Just like the Arthur Honegger work in 1923. The guitars and drums in this songs emulate the chug of a train going along the tracks, slowing and speeding up. A different song by the Cure, "Jumping Someone Else's Train," also has drums and rhythm to mimic that of a train. |

Ya know I was looking at a video of Reggie performing this song live (I have had the video since about 2004) and I noticed some lyrics that I had been singing wrong. In the second verse it actually says: "Yes you're still the best before the rest look at my chest 'cause it's not that hairy." His movements in the video prompted me to take another listen and I am convinced he says those words. |

I know the song makes references to a machine, specificaly a train. I know that pacific 231 is a work composed by Arthur Honegger in 1923 which is about a train (the work imitates the sounds of a steam locomotive). Anyways, I think this song is making a person or relationship out to be like a train wreck. the metaphor is that the "train" is sick from its own motion, as if it was not that great when it started but now it is even worse. But still (they) try and make it work. |

The singer himself is crazy (for even liking her) and now crazy things are happening to her like unwanted attention because of him. This song seems to be anti marrige. I know morrisey makes many references to fat girls, maybe he just finds them unattractive. Anyways, this song is about settling and giving in. The first verse is about giving into the town and the second is kinda like giving in compleatly by getting married to a fat girl, as opposed to looking for someone more attractive and living your life. |

Although this is a joke band or not to be taken serious, I take his lyrics seriously on some songs because they have real maening to me, and i think some were meant to be that way. So now, this song at first seems somewhat simple, but if i relate to me personally, i think he is talking about someone he wants to be with or was with before and now they are not togetehr anymore. when he says "If you'd believe the out cries I'd know everything is all right" I think he means that if you truly understand what I am saying, or if you only knew, then i would be ok. Its sounds as if the other person is not getting the whole point and if they would only realize what he wants then they would share it with him. Its like chasing that girl who is with someone for all the wrong reasons and if they only knew your point of view then they would be with you. |
