NUFAN are NOT like Blink LessThanAlex thats really insulting them... they have mellowed out a bit in HRB though... i was a bit dissapointed, but its still wicked. This song isnt the best on the album, but the video does make up for it :) |

i lost my jelly shoes in the sea, they dont float too well :( i cried. anyways, this song is so cool and brings me up everytime i hear it, just makes me wanna dance, especially in the piano jamming bit. i hope everyone who posted here remembers this song, maybe we can make it an anthem for our entire generation not just for those of us on this site! im seeing them tommorow and hoping that they play this cause i have seen 2 konstantineless shows so far :( not that i care, because there other stuff is just as good, i just really wanna hear them do this.
for the record i think the ready... break version is cheesy and 'oh god i miss you' just doesnt work (for me) the first 'they'll never hurt you like i do' is totally off key and makes me cringe. but im not taking anything away from SoCo or this song, its still great and they are still great, but they will have performed Konstantine better live since this one i believe. |

i dismissed this song on first hearing as a wannabe konstantine (those were the old days, when i was only just hearing something corporate) but now i really regret my original judgement. this is my favourite soco song at this moment in time (although that changes almost daily!) and reading all of your comments has really brought it home about what this song can mean to others.
im not convinced that this is about a long-distance relationship, i think that the 'globes and maps' refer to her ambitions (to travel, perhaps) and he wonders why her ambition can mean more to her than he does.
one thing i dont like about this song is the ending, which i think is too abrubt. Perhaps it would have been better to end on 'i'll see you walk out that door' rather than going back into the last chorus... still, thats just a minor criticism of an otherwise perfect song. |

i think Insomniac is underrated and often dismissed as Green Days 'poorest' album, a title that no Green Day album deserves! this song is one of my favourites on the album and i like to sing it with my band, the power and feeling you can out into 'but now its all fucked up'... i love it!

this is maybe my favourite Nickelback song (as wb2006mu said, HYRM is way overplayed).
i cant relate to it from my own experiences, but reading all of your stories makes me realise how much more powerful it can be for some people and makes me think how lucky i am that i am in a 'secure' family environment. |
