| Underoath – When The Sun Sleeps Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| If you like it listen to old Underoath, MUCH more hardcore, and also more about Christ. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Again I Go Unnoticed Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Yeah Road to Recovery owns. Anybody have opening bass tabs to it? | |
| Good Charlotte – Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| rancidrocks is my new hero. Guys, Good Charlotte = pop punk. Punk rockers know what I am talking about. Stop getting genre names mixed up just because MTV tells you GC are the Kings of Punk. Try NOFX, Rancid, or any other bands that prefer the underground. | |

| wtf why won't my posts work | |
| Coheed and Cambria – Delirium Trigger Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I'm just going to restate this. Emo is dead. It has been for years, so any band claiming to be emo, isn't. Real emo was born after the real hardcore (yes, with screaming, because that is real hardcore) scene died down in DC. It was called emo because the lyrics were still screamed although the music was softened a lot. Thanks, peace. | |
| Coheed and Cambria – 33 Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Guys, real emo isn't even around anymore. It started after the real hardcore (with screaming of course, Minor Threat is a good example) when the music softned up but the lyrics were still screamed. Then it ended. Now you have Dashboard and whatnot taking 'emo' as its own. | |
| The Get Up Kids – Campfire Kansas Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Sorry to not include this in the last one, but wastemydays, did you know that Matt Pryor's not too fond of Mass Pike, and actually said it was one song he regretted writing/performing? Well if you actually care that much and post a reply I can give you the site where he did an interview saying that. Sorry just thought I'd add that. Peace, X TIMBO X |

Time for my opinion :). So here it is; this song is really amazing. I believe the distorted lyrics were the perfect touch, and the background vocals and piano added to it even more. The Kids are definitely taking a step away from the direction of pop-punk-emo, which they (and The Promise Ring) pretty much defined. The style and mood from their old CD's, like Four Minute Mile and Something To Write Home About is definitely hard to find in On A Wire, but if you listen close enough the Kids we've grown to know and love are still underneath. By the way props to Matt Pryor, even after all these years his voice carries that amatuer charm. :) Peace, X TIMBO X |

| The Get Up Kids – Fall from Grace Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Great song and new sounds from the beloved Kids, but ya gotta wonder if this change in pace is for good. I mean, this CD is musically mature and clear cut, but doesn't everybody miss their old sound? The upbeat tempos and catchy lyrics that everyone sang along to. Well bravo to the Kids for expanding their horizons, and good luck in the future. Peace, XTIMBOX |

| Underoath – And I Dreamt of You Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Yes well most of Underoath's songs are a good 10 minutes if not more. They're a great band, one of the most talented around, but do not get much exposure due to their hardcore nature. *tisk tisk* | |
| Underoath – Giving Up Hurts the Most Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Great song, but not a lot of support from the hardcore community on this site, which is too bad, because this band is amazingly talented. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Hands Down Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
First off, Fallacies is right boys and girls. Emo was a term used after the rise of hardcore music in DC (no not Dashboard) when bands still used the hardcore screams but behind softer music and "emotional" lyrics. So he's right, but that dosen't mean that bands like Dashboard, Juliana Theory, and Saves The Day aren't good, they're all great. Now on to this song... I was privelidged enough to see Dashboard Unplugged on MTV (one of the only times I'll watch it) and it was absolutely amazing. To truely experience this song, you really do have to hear it with the accompanyment of the rest of Dashboard, it's wonderful. Later kids. Peace X TIMB0 X |

| Thursday – Understanding In A Car Crash Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Thursday is an amazing band which finally brought out the raw emotion of emo (obviously the origin) and turned it into a more positive music. Rock on guys, and keep screaming. (Sreamo rules.) Peace, X TS X |

| Unwritten Law – Seein' Red Lyrics | 23 years ago |

I had a hunch that this would be a song with many comments, and I agree with all. This is a great song, but it shows how emo/pop punk is making it's way through the ranks of our friends over at MTV and the radio. This is a bummer in some ways, but good job and good luck to these guys in the future, hopefully they won't burnout with the next music movement. Peace, X TS X |

| Yellowcard – Rock Star Land Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Yet another hit from Yellowcard themselves... this song is upbeat and catchy, yet also reveals emotions and adventures. Good job guys. Peace, X TS X |

| Yellowcard – October Nights Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Just the way Yellowcard managed to integrate a violin into a punk-dominated genre tips you off to their skill and how far they'll go in the business. Second, the lyrics and music top most of their competitors... good luck to these guys in the future. Peace, X TS X |

| ThrowDown – Don't Lose Sight Lyrics | 24 years ago |
| This is a great straightedge song from a great straigtedge band. They really use the heavy guitars and vocals to get the point across. All in all a great song, a must hear to all those hardcore kids out there. | |
