i think this song is about a guy who was dumped by a girl, and years later he remembers her and thinks that it is fate for them to be together, but she doesnt feel the same, so while he keeps waiting for her to come back he tries to drink his problems away. well thats what i think, J18 is amazing any way you look at it. |

ok... hopefully this will be my last post here
unwritten law, for example... listen to their old stuff compared to their new stuff... notice at no point did i say their new stuff was bad... its just completely different... same goes for blink182
as for the whole "if they are good im glad they go on mtv to make money" thing... music is sooo much better, so much more pure, when the artist is making it because they like to, then when they are making it to sell records...
so hopefully dashboard stays true to their roots, and doesnt fade away into the rest of pop culture... ok i've had enough of this, im out |

so impossible, your right, its people like you that we cant stand. its the people who like anything that mtv throws in their face and the people who dont like bands until they are on trl.
madhippo got it right with what he said. bands tend to change their music once they start getting played on mtv... just look at blink182... still a great band, dont get me wrong, but its almost like they are an entirely different band right now.

people hate mtv and gay ass trl because, mtv ruins all the good bands. mtv has made it such that in order for a band to be "big" they have to been on mtv. and the mindless teeny boopers that watch the commercial crap they show on mtv, buy into whatever they show. i dont blame dashboard for making a video, but i blame mtv and that horrible trl crap for playing out these great songs by great bands, that have a huge following, and then turn to crap once they make it. all those mindless trl followers hop onto whatever band mtv declares "cool" and that pisses me off. still a great song though, mtv cant take that away |
